to: Our families
As always, the holiday season has us feeling introspective; naturally this has resulted in us writing you a letter. As our families, you’re kind of the unsung heroes of Anchour. We think you deserve a little attention.
Thank you, first and foremost, for tolerating us. Everyone has a different experience of course, but we can safely say most of us have worked late nights, come home grumpy, come home way too excited about something we’re Not Supposed To Talk About, answered urgent emails during dinner, tried to explain something about our work that probably made no sense, talked about topics that no one cares about but us.
We have to say thank you for this because honestly, we know how annoying we can get. For every late night, for every glazed-over thousand yard stare, for every impassioned speech about [redacted] brand - you’ve stuck with us.
We also want to thank you for the myriad ways that you’ve taught us. Regardless of the route, many of us have arrived at the values and beliefs we hold because of something you said or did. It’s difficult to really put into words how much this means to us.
To all of our spouses, significant others, parents, siblings, and children: you make Anchour a reality just as much as we do. We love you very much, and we’re very happy to call you ours.
PS Please send hot chocolate. We don’t have any and it’s starting to become a problem.
